  • Can I use the ServiceShell in Windows 95/98/ME ?

Unfortunately, no. Windows 95/98/ME has no 'service' feature at all.

  • Can I install all application programs to the service ?

Yes. ServiceShell can change all application programs to the service. However, you should check yourself that the application is suitable for running as a service.

  • I can't shut down the system properly after I install and start my service by ServiceShell.

A few application programs suspend the shut down process for some reason. Please check Terminate application and revive automatically option in the edit window.

  • My service-changed application program closes itself when the system shut down.

A few application programs handle the system's shut down signal itself and closed even if it changed to the service. Please check Terminate application and revive automatically option in the edit window.

  • I got 'Interactive Services Detection' pop-ups.

    You can disable it by,

    1. Open Windows Services Manager
    2. Find 'Interactive Services Dection' service
    3. Open it's properties, stop and disable it
