1. Windows Vista Compatibility

MouseLaunch has been updated to support Windows Vista. There is a change on both mouse button pressing method (activation) and known issues.

2. Misc. Improvement

MouseLaunch's internal data file folder has been moved to the user's local application data folder. This folder location is different between Windows editions.

This change enables multiple user accounts run MouseLaunch in a PC with their own individual MouseLaunch data. And a user can easily backup data files of MouseLaunch.

Previous Location: C:\Program Files\MouseLaunch

New Locations:

Vista C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\UInterface\MouseLaunch
XP, 2000 C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\UInterface\MouseLaunch
Me C:\Windows\Application Data\UInterface\MouseLaunch

In this new version, user can easily access to the data file folder by selecting tray menu > Open Data Folder.

3. How to Update (For existing customer)

We will send MouseLaunch registered version within a week from release date. Install new setup to your Windows Vista. (Do not install with the trial version.)

If you are not using the Vista, you don't have to install this new version.

However, if you want to update your version with this new version, you need to move your data files to maintain registered file information.

  1. Shut down, Uninstall MouseLaunch
  2. Install, Launch new MouseLaunch
  3. Move data files in C:\Program Files\MouseLaunch

    Shortcuts\*.*
    Text\*.*
    Launcher.con
    Launcher.con_shift
    Launcher.lft
    Launcher.lft_shift
    Launcher.lst
    Launcher.lst_shift
    Launcher.opt
    Launcher.rgt
    Launcher.rgt_shift



    to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\UInterface\MouseLaunch folder.

  4. Shut down and re-run MouseLaunch
  5. Confirm all data are correct, delete C:\Program Files\MouseLaunch folder completely.
