  1. System Requirements, Installation

1-1. Requirements

Chamki requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later for Windows Vista, XP, 2000.

If you are not sure that your PC is ready for this, please check Windows Folder \ Microsoft.NET \ Framework \ v2.0.xxxxx or v3.0 folder is exist. .NET Framework setup file is available at the Microsoft .NET Homepage and the setup requires the Windows Installer.

Microsoft supports .NET Framework even for Windows 98 but the performance is the problem. To run .NET application in reasonable performance, we think that you need a PC that purchased after the year 2005 in most cases.

1-2. Files

When you install Chamki, the main program file will be copied to the folder you selected, and the following data files will be copied to User's folder \ Local Application Data \ UInterface \ Chamki folder.

Chamki_Options.xml : Stores PAD List section data and progress status
Chanki_Sites.xml
: Stores Site List section data

The files are managed by Chamki internally and not supposed to be edited directly. However, if you need to edit them directly, you must close the Chamki first. The files are XML format, UTF-8.

Note even if you uninstall Chamki, the above data files will not be deleted for later use (e.g. updating or moving Chamki program file only).

  1. Brief User Interface Descriptions

Chamki has three sections - PAD List, Site List, Browser - for your submission process.

- PAD List

You can add your PAD addresses to be submitted. You can also add other strings that required by a submission page - e.g. email address, company name, etc. - as you want.

Selecting (clicking) an item in this section causes copying the item to the clipboard and input focus will be moved to the browser automatically. This enables you to browse the page and paste the item quickly.

- Site List

This section holds a list of submission page addresses. Chamki basically offers about 50 site addresses - Google PageRank 5+ - and you can add your site or completely replace the list with yours.

Double-clicking causes connection to the selected address. The checkbox will be checked automatically to mark submission progress. When Chamki connected to the site, input focus will be moved to the browser automatically for your quick browsing.

- Browser

Browser section is a place to submit PADs. Chamki uses the Internet Explorer installed on your system.
